I have been trying to switch completely from Upstox to Dhan for a long time because I genuinely like Dhan’s overall platform, features, and execution. However, there is one major issue that has consistently prevented me from making Dhan my primary trading platform.
The biggest issue is the chart loading speed in the Dhan mobile app during live market hours. Compared to Upstox, charts take significantly longer to open.
As an active trader, I need to scan and switch between multiple charts within seconds during market hours. Because of the slow loading, I often miss trading opportunities.
Many times, the charts don’t open at all, and the only solution is to completely log out and log back into the app. This is extremely frustrating during fast-moving markets.
I would also like to point out that this issue is primarily observed during market hours when trading activity is high. After market hours, chart loading is generally smooth and the problem is almost negligible. This indicates that the issue may be related to server load or chart data delivery during peak trading hours.
To rule out device-related issues, I have tested the app on multiple smartphones, and the experience is exactly the same on all of them. This is not a recent issue—I have been facing it ever since I started using Dhan.
Apart from this, I genuinely prefer Dhan over other platforms, which is why I have been trying to make it my primary broker. But this one issue keeps pulling me back to Upstox.
I sincerely request the Dhan team to optimize the mobile chart engine and improve chart loading speed and reliability during peak market hours. I believe fixing this issue will encourage many active traders like me to make Dhan their primary trading platform.
