NSE has announced a modification in the expiry timeline for WTI Crude Oil Options on Futures.
Starting November 6, 2025, the expiry for these contracts will now be seven business days prior to the expiry of the underlying futures contract — earlier it used to be two business days prior.
What This Means
- Applicable for December 2025 and onward contracts.
- The contract launch calendar has been updated accordingly — for example:
- Dec 2025 contract now expires on 9th Dec 2025
- Jan 2026 contract on 7th Jan 2026, and so on.
- For existing contracts, revised expiry dates will reflect in the trading system by November 19, 2025 (EOD).
Action for Traders:
- Review open positions and strategies accordingly to avoid expiry-related surprises.
