Yours is the case of part-trade. Unique scenario. We are evaluating the solutions, how we can handle margins during part-trade on Auto trigger Basket. We will keep you posted.
@Naman this is not a unique scenario. All the F&O strategies mentioned below by Zerodha will be affected by this issue. Other clients like @VijayNair @Castelinojason @viswaram have also flagged this unique Dhan issue. I may be more vocal about it because I am still routing my order flow exclusively through Dhan. At the same time, as a Dhan AP, I have realised that this issue is one of the root causes driving order flow back to Zerodha. That is why I believe it needs to be addressed at the root level rather than treated as an isolated incident.
Zerodha introduces small millisecond-level delays between legs to avoid this issue. If Dhan claims order execution happens within 20 ms, sending the second leg to the market before the first leg has completed execution and the corresponding margin has been released can obviously lead to rejection due to insufficient margin.
