New home layout

There’s a layout update. But honestly, the old layout felt better.
The Hi greeting shifted from right to left which looks odd. The greeting was better beside DP.
The gap between Hi greeting and other tabs ( Home to Money) in the middle also looks very odd.
Request you to bring the old layout back.

If you pin an index, the hi tab will move again. I feel the design is nicer this time though.

Hi @specter You do what @thisisbanerjee has suggested, and you are nearly back to the old design.

We have kept active investing & trading together (portfolio + positions + orders + money) while discovery and non-direct trading use-cases to right block (Markets + Rental + News + IPO)

This is first version of change, the entire web platform will be redone.. you will notice the updates over next few months, short and subtle., nothing too shocking.

THANK YOU @PravinJ AND @RahulDeshpande for incorporating this specific feedback of mine. I happen to spend most of the time on the Dhan Web platform, and this was very much needed and I appreciate it.

You guys are the absolute best. :sparkles:

@PravinJ…my feedback on the new web layout

  1. The new Top Menu looks very scattered. If you want to create two sets of menu items, you may use a small vertical separator line in between the left block (Home + Portfolio + Positions + Orders + Money) and the right block (Markets + Rentals + News + Offers). Market Open/Close status in between menu items is looking really odd. Keep the Market Open/Close status to the right after the menu items. You can keep menu blocks separated by vertical separators like… Pinned Index | Left Menu Items | Right Menu Items | Market Open/Close | icons and profile picture.
  2. I also agree with @specter that left-most Hi Greeting is looking odd. I think you can keep Nifty 50 index pinned by default and if any user pins any other index…it will just replace it and save it.
  3. If possible allow an option to add / remove other indices in the new ticker list, please don’t default to a limited list of indices…if you have any performance issue you can restrict to a fix number of ticker items. e.g. 5 (but user should be able to choose any 5 indices from a broader selection list)
  4. As you’re redesigning the whole web layout, please consider to make watchlist section collapsible to a left vertical side bar…something similar to TradingView Chart left side bar. These may open up new possibilities to show all 20 watchlist numbers/icons directly in the left side bar without any requirement to scroll the watchlist numbers.
  5. You may also add a vertical collapsible sidebar to the right side of the screen as well…similar to TradingView Chart. Once you have two collapsible side bars, left and right, you can arrange many items in those side bars. Though in that case, the middle section has to be flexible to stretch and shrink based on any sidebar collapse/expand …target for responsive design but make different layout for tablet and for mobile.

Thanks and Regards

Understood.
Appreciate differentiating between active and other use-cases block.
But I don’t know why it looks a bit asymmetric.
May be due to the markets closed/open indicator in the middle.
Placing it somewhere else should make it more appealing I feel.

Also, there’s a long pending request which is saving the watchlist after sorting. There’s no option right now. Hope this will also be considered in the future developments.

Noted @specter and we have moved the Markets Live section to side, not to get between the navigations.

Yes noticed it. Looks better now.

Can we get an option to save the selected indices on ticker. Right now, I have to select the indices I want to display on ticker every time I login. All indices scroll by default.
