Please allow placing Forever Sell orders on the same day of buying, this will save a lot of time for swing and other traders.

And why wouldnāt you allow GTT OCO sell orders on the equity on the same day along with the buy order. I am sure its isnāt a regulatory issue as other brokers are allowing and have implemented on their platforms.

@PravinJ please isko fix karo. Forever OCO sell should work for any quantity and for stocks in positions too. Just like Zerodha GTT works.
I know you donāt like comparing with competitors but that is the correct way to implement it from user perspective.

yes mate !! already discussed but canāt do nothing much. Thats why now all our swing trades were shifted to upstox until dhan bring actual GTT function + improvement on PNL reports.

I think the folks at Dhan have enabled Forever orders on the desktop/web version but its still very buggy.
Iām getting the option but unable to place a Forever Sell order for MTF from the web version, keep getting the error āInsufficient holding quantityā even when thereās sufficient quantity and Iām trying to place the order on T+2, so the MTF shares have settled.
Iām able to place a forever OCO from the app at T+2 though. Havenāt checked for T+1 yet.
I waited for long for the forever/gtt order on Dhan, now that itās finally (almost) here, would be great to see it working on the desktop version too.
Any idea by when you guys expect it to be fully function on the web version? I understand you guys have a priority list, however, this helps us, as users, set our expectations and continue to support you guys!
Shifting between desktop and app is very cumbersome to place an order for somebody who uses multiple screens and wants to place more orders.

We have not enabled MTF/Equity Forever Orders on Web yet because of which you are facing this issue. Although we cannot commit timelines right now, stay assured that we are on it & it will be live soon. Request your continued support until then

There is no logic behind this rule. An order does not discriminate between holdings and positions. Letās say you have 1 quantity of X share in holdings (bought 2 days ago) and 1 quantity of X share in positions (bought today).
Assume you already had a sell forever order placed which got triggered today, now as per your logic the 1 quantity in holdings should get squared off but that is not what is going to happen, the one from positions will get squared off first as thatās the order of execution - positions will get debit first and then it will move to holdings.
A forever order once triggered is just like a normal order - it will debit from wherever the quantity is - either positions or holdings in that particular order. If someone bought something today and Dhan allowed to place a forever sell order immediately and it got triggered then it will be sent to exchange just like any other order and will get executed if the price matches.

Hi, when can we have this feature on the web version. May we know why many of the latest feature like this, the account aggregation and others are only launched on the mobile app where the trading experience is sub par because of the limited screen estate and not on the web simultaneously. Is your priority to only have mobile app based platform going forward
@Tridib We have mentioned this earlier as well, we are making our web interfaces Trader specific. Account Aggregator is investor feature and will continue to be on mobile app.
in oco order we cant edit entry price ā¦if yes how

OCO/Forever order is available for your holdings. Hence, you shall be unable to edit entry price, as it has stoploss & target.
@Poornima When the forever OCO will be available on the Dhan Web. It has been quite a good time since it is available in mobile app but still not the Dhan web.

When will it be available in api? I asked the support, they said to put two simulataneous orders . But the system reserves the quantity after the first order so the second order cannot be put. Please add/fix this asap

Suppose I place a forever order for 100 rupees but I have 80 rupees as funds, the order will not executed, will the forever target automatically gets removed permanently?
Im asking because Iām unable to view the order in Orders> Forever section

Please add trailing stoploss option for Forever orders. Itās present in Upstox
