Portfolio Columns

  1. In Portfolio view, can you please add Overall and Day numbers (Amount & %) in the same page. I am asking this for past 3 years. Clicking on toggle for this is a horrible way of implementation and it is irritating so much. You can adjust the margins slightly and add this in the same page.

  2. In Home & Portfolio page the header Block for different portfolios can be show directly instead of clicking each. There is lot of space wasted on this block. You can have 1 small block for each type like All, Stocks, MF, ETF, Small case with Invested, Current, P&L, % and clicking the block will change the data below

  3. Two decimals in Average price, LTP and P&L % make sense. But don’t see any value of decimal in Invested, Current and P&L. If you don’t want to remove permanently, you can make a toggle in settings like Show/Hide Decimals for these fields. This will show the values in clean format

  4. This also long time ask:

a. Apply Standard classifications to Stocks like Industry, Sector, Market Cap, and Additionally create my own labels and colours to tag the stocks

b. in Special tab the default view can be without any grouping. But there should be a drop down where I should select a grouping with above options. When selected the stocks must be grouped and each group should have its own totals, P&L, % etc.

Hi @Uday_Krishna_Yalamar good to see you on our community again!

Thank you for sharing such a detailed feedback. I’ll address all your suggestions below -

  1. We understand your preference to view both Day and Overall performance together. At the moment, the toggle-based layout is to keep the portfolio header compact and readable across different screen sizes. A lot of our users prefer this view as it makes tracking all portfolios easier. We will continue monitoring this request, and keep you updated if anything changes.

  2. As for your suggestion to keep just one block, while it’s a different approach, it remains subjective. The current layout works well for many users and enables easy access to all options without additional clicks.

  3. Accuracy is important for both, traders & investors. Invested, current, and P&L values are calculated from prices that include decimal precision, and even small rounding differences can compound across quantities and trades. Displaying decimals ensures that P&L and portfolio values remain accurate and consistent with actual trade data.

  4. As of now, we are working towards improving the Special tab. A grouped view based on the existing tags will be rolled out, allowing you to mark your stocks accordingly and view them in a grouped format.

Overall and Day numbers in the same page is a super useful and user friendly feature. Clicking on toggle is not good option at-least for me. I hope Dhan will consider it in future.

Just made it in Excel. You can actually make it beautiful and better readable on webpage using professional people. Competitively lot of space is vacant in current panel (See screenshot)

Not so difficult to make. Probably acceptance is the concern
