Regarding creating a screener for nifty 500 @imran sir

Hi sir.

Sir, i have a doubt regarding creating a screener. while you are building an algo you are creating a watchlist in the algo. instead of that can we use nifty 100, 200 or 500 stocks ?

what i mean is : i want to scan stocks from nifty 500 based on some conditions. so its not possible to me to add 500 stocks into the watchlist. so what i tried is, in the watchlist i simple mentioned nifty 500, but i didnt get desired results. so what should i do to scan all the 500 stocks at a time. is there a way ?

Yes, you can scan all Nifty 500 stocks without manually adding them to the algo watchlist. You need to first get the Nifty 500 stock symbols/list and then pass those symbols to your Python screener.

Simply mentioning “Nifty 500” in the watchlist will not automatically fetch and scan all 500 stocks.
