Request for a Unified MTF Key Levels Indicator (PDH/L, PWH/L, PMH/L) to Replace Messy Stacked Pivot/CPR Indicators

Hi @Dhan @Naman @PravinJ @Mrunmayi_Vaity @Vaibhav_Lad

I would like to request a new indicator: an All-in-One Multi-Timeframe (MTF) Key Levels Indicator for Dhan Charts (tv.dhan.co).

The Problem with the Current Solution:
Currently, to track Daily, Weekly, and Monthly key levels simultaneously, traders have to apply three separate CPR indicators. As shown in my attached screenshot (Image 2), stacking these indicators creates a cluttered, confusing “staircase” pattern that dynamically extends candle-by-candle as the day progresses. This severely blocks candles and makes price action almost impossible to analyze cleanly.

The Request (The Clean Solution):
I am requesting a single, streamlined indicator that isolates just the critical high and low boundaries (PDH/PDL, PWH/PWL, PMH/PML) and plots them with Source-Bar Anchoring and Pre-Session Extension, as demonstrated in my clean reference mockup (Image 1).

Core Specifications & Logic

  • Indicator Name: Unified MTF Key Levels (Prior Day/Week/Month High & Low)

  • Consolidated Data Points (Toggleable in Settings):

    • Daily Range: Previous Day High (PDH) & Previous Day Low (PDL)
    • Weekly Range: Previous Week High (PWH) & Previous Week Low (PWL)
    • Monthly Range: Previous Month High (PMH) & Previous Month Low (PML)

    Required Drawing Behavior & Layout

  1. Instant Session-Open Calculation: All historical key levels must plot exactly at 9:15 AM as soon as the market opens for the day/week/month. The plotting must NOT wait for the first 1-minute or 5-minute candle to complete or close before resolving the values. The calculations must execute instantly on the session-open tick.
  2. Persistent Historical Rendering (Load-Anytime Rule): This zero-delay plotting should not rely on a one-time trigger at 9:15 AM. Whether a trader opens or refreshes their chart at 9:16 AM, 11:00 AM, or 2:30 PM, the script must parse the historical reference data and render the correct, full-day straight lines instantly upon loading.
  3. Source-Bar Anchoring: Instead of drawing standard staircases or lines starting blindly at the opening bell, each horizontal line should start exactly at the historical candle that printed that specific high or low and project continuously to the right side of the canvas.
  4. Fixed End-of-Day Extension (No Live Creeping): Unlike current CPR/Pivot lines that continuously paint forward only as each new live candle forms, these levels must pre-plot all the way to the very end of the current day’s trading session as soon as the market opens. This provides a clean, fixed visual runway for the entire day.
  5. Clean Offset Margins: The lines should extend straight across the screen, cleanly displaying text labels on the right-side offset space detailing the level names.
  6. Multi-Timeframe Scalability: The indicator lines must look clean and scale dynamically across the 5m, 15m, 1H, D, and M candle views.

Requested Style & Customization Settings

To give traders complete control over chart aesthetics, please include the following options in the indicator settings menu:

  • Line Style Options: A dropdown menu to change individual line styles between Solid, Dashed, or Dotted, alongside a Width/Thickness adjustment slider (1px, 2px, 3px, 4px).
  • Label Size Options: A dropdown to change the text label size between Small, Medium, or Large.
  • Optional Price Toggle: A “Show Price” Checkbox. If checked, it should display the label name + price string (e.g., PWH 23,489.00). If unchecked, it should only display the text label name (e.g., PWH), keeping the price scale clean.

Consolidating these levels into a single script with robust visual customization will eliminate chart clutter, free up indicator limits, and provide an elegant interface for tracking critical daily liquidity targets.

(Please find both the clean reference design and the messy stacked-indicator comparison images attached below.)

Thank you for continuously expanding the platform tools for us!

Hi @tarunjaiswal

Thanks for sharing the indicator request.
Meanwhile try out new DEXT Charts on Dhan App & Dhan Web, by enabling the default chart types to DEXT Charts from Trader’s Control. There is going to be more powerful features/tools on this charting console, including to enable the likes of one you requested.

Hi @Naman

I am exploring Dext Chart, but I cannot use it for live trading because of a few limitations I found with Dhan web.

  1. How do I open Dext Chart in full screen directly from the watchlist, similar to how it works in TradingView?
  2. How do I open the option chain directly inside Dext Chart, like the right-click option available in TradingView?

I had several other observations while testing the Dext platform. I already shared them on another thread linked below

https://madefortrade.in/t/dext-chart-new-feature-requests/94446/4

Once these issues are fixed, I can think about using the Dext chart live.

Yes, you can open DEXT Charts directly in full screen from the Watchlist.

  1. First, enable DEXT Charts from the chart settings, as shown below.

  2. Once enabled, click the 3-dot menu against any scrip in your Watchlist and select Full Screen Chart.

This will directly open the selected scrip in the DEXT Chart in full-screen view.

Feedback noted on opening the Option Chain directly from DEXT Charts, similar to the right-click workflow you highlighted.

We’ve also noted the other points you’ve shared along with this and will evaluate them together as part of improving the overall chart navigation and trading workflow.

Hi @Bhavya_Jain

I observed DEXT charts feel slightly blurry compared to TradingView, and the lack of sharpness is causing eye strain during long sessions.

oh bhai , Tu bi na , I have been asking them to add scanner for 1 Hour & Weekly Monthly , since 2024 but seems they are Just not ready

@tarunjaiswal We have implemented Prev Day OHLC as indicator in dext charts do have look at it n let us know if it meets ur requirement

No @Bhavya_Jain this doesn’t meet my requirement

Problem: Tracking PDH/PDL, PWH/PWL, and PMH/PML currently requires three separate CPR indicators, creating a cluttered “staircase” effect on the charts (Please check the previously shared images to see how the chart looks when applying CPR, and how it will look with this new indicator).

Solution: Create a single, unified indicator that plots all daily, weekly, and monthly levels cleanly as shown in the above shared screenshots. Since the Dext platform is being built from scratch, this is the perfect opportunity to implement a cleaner, one-indicator solution.

Hi @Naman , I was checking out the Dext indicators and found the ‘Auto Key Levels’ one. Is this the indicator you mentioned? It currently has options for PDL and PDH, but it would completely fulfill my requirements if you could add PWH/PWL and PMH/PML as well."
