(Resolved) Critical Webhook Issues: Auto Reset, Inactivity, and Failed Orders

It seems you’re a daily user of the webhook feature to place orders.

I’m trying to set up an automated system using webhook but facing integration issue at Dhan end which the Dhan technical team is looking into.

Meanwhile can you please share your experience so far with webhooks? How reliable it is and how often do you face issues?

Have been using webhooks for a long time now. Very reliable and most of my orders are from TV to Dhan via webhooks. On rare occassions faced issues but Dhan team fixed it quickly once these were noted.

@hachiko what is the issue you are facing with webhooks ?

TV alerts are generated with expected JSON (same as the JSON created by webhook JSON generator available in Dhan web) but orders are not getting placed at Dhan end.

I’ve shared TV alert email containing the order JSON with Dhan support team.

Usual first hand checks

  1. Is webhook url still active ?
  2. Was the JSON created after generating the webhook url ?
  3. Is the Market segment of the instrument you are trading enable for you in your account ?

If all the above are ok then please share the JSON message here. Will try to do a quick validation.

Answer to all the three question is yes.

I’l reset the webhook URL one more time, update secret key and try to place a new order for an equity in EQ segment with MKT price. I’ll share the output here.

If you hit the webhook URL in the browser what response do you get?

U r alert message seems to be ok. Now it is up to Dhan guys.

I could also verify the webhook integration from my end using a free webhook URL generated by https://beeceptor.com/

It’s very disappointing that a week is over but the issue is still being investigated despite providing enough of conclusive screenshots on this thread. :roll_eyes:

Ideally how much time do you think Dhan should take to onboard an Algo Trader who is using TV to place orders?
