Well I never said “Desktop”. Terminal is a terminal be on the web or on the desktop. The only difference is what UI is making the call to the backend .
Well to be specific on the desktop then the few that I know are Tradetiger(Oldest I think), Nest, Opstra’s parent company has one but I don’t know the name.
But as client grow, computing and server loads go up. I am not sure how they will sustain with the higher operating cost then. Finvasia has also been giving fully free trading experience to clients for some time now. However free has not really helped to bring in clients compared to top brokers.
When it comes to anything free, I live by three rules:
1. If you’re not paying for the product, you are the product. 2. There’s no such thing as a free lunch. 3. Silver always has more buyers than Gold.
There’s never been anything like Dhan before, and it’s unlikely anyone will match it anytime soon. I wouldn’t be surprised if it turns into a major brand well within this decade.
@thisisbanerjee@RahulDeshpande can dhan provide strategy tester like tradingview? if it is not possible on tradingview charts than can it be provided on chartIQ ?
Has anyone tried out Groww’s 915 terminal? It’s looking really cool. They integrate an AI Agent widget, Scalper widget, Straddle chart widget and very soon they are going to bring in the strategy widget too. Groww’s is really making efforts on the trading front.
I think that’s because broker’s per order charges are miniscule when compared to Government’s turnover percentage charges. So, free stuff is not much helpful unless trader is full on into intraday HFT.
