I want to start a trading challenge on Dhan app starting August 1 means tomorrow.
I will trade with an amount of 1 lakh in option buying & i will constantly update my profit and loss.
Can I do this here?

When you’ve been in the markets long enough, you start seeing the same cycle repeat every year.
Many begin with excitement, but none make it to the end. Unless you’re posting 5- or 6-digit profits daily, the crowd stops clapping — and when the applause fades, even the competitor loses interest.
If you’re taking on this challenge to genuinely improve yourself, the best place to share your daily results is the sitting room of your own house.
Nothing drives motivation like being accountable to your own family.

@Chotu I am not sure about what the community rules are for a Trading challenge, but it will be interesting to see your progress. I would say go ahead.

I belong to the Covid batch and have managed to sustain myself till now.
I primarily trade futures through a different broker.
My only objective is to observe how long 1 lakh can be sustained or much can be made using challenge method.
I’m not seeking recognition or promotion, simply want to pursue this journey and see where it leads and in my view 1 lakh is sufficient for option buying.

@Chotu Which other broker do you use and why? Any differences compared to Dhan?

If you’re taking on Option Trading challenge , Focus exclusively on learning than Profits /Loss.

For me, psychology plays a more vital role than technical analysis.

My account had a higher balance earlier today, out of which 1,17,000 was used for trading. After taking out the profit earned today, remaining balance is 1 lakh. I intend to keep withdrawing profits regularly.
If any verification is needed from my side, I’m available.

@Chotu It would be great if you could mention the entry trigger and exit trigger along with the Premium at which it was entered and exited for the Option and strike price. If the total P&L is not shown, then it’s fine.
