First of all, Great work !! you all are doing a fabulous job, breaking the barriers and touching new heights.
Some of the best highlights which I liked :
- Partnering with TradingView - Probably the defining moment of Dhan
- TV Dhan : Dhan’s TV Chart is by far the best. Regular updates, and also you are working on Alerts which is also great…I look forward to your formal announcement.
- For Ex: Dhan TV is the first or the only one in the industry to provide Scrip Logo, Save Custom template of tools like Trendline, etc.
- Scaling up Tech Stack, Network and Infrastructure : That was a much needed upgrade.
- Continuous Product Innovation like Dhan Wifi, Trailing Stop Loss (Intraday), etc. Even the Slogans/Ads you are making are really meaningful.
- Upsurge : Great Initiative.
- Encouraging Women Traders by offering a 50% discount on brokerage: Though it is now removed, but appreciated.
- Active Dhan Community: A great pool of ideas for your product backlog.
- TradingView Webhooks : A Smart Move to integrate triggers.
- DDPI : Probably the first in the industry
- One Tap Amount Transfer via IciciBank : Also first in the industry
- QR Code based login : Also first in the industry (If I am not wrong)
- Trader’s Control : Well thought out feature segment.
Few Cons I would like to highlight :
- A clean UI / UX would be great.
- Too many features are making the mobile app cluttered and irritating sometimes. Probably a “Dhan” Lite version could help.
- Experiencing Lags in Mobile App (iOS Version) during navigation.
- Also feels lost sometimes, due to Too many features.
- The Web version feels more user friendly than the Mobile App.
- Price Alerts : It needs a revamp. It has all the basic functionality, but the expectation is more.
Feature Request :
- Storing Mutual Funds unit in Demat Account
- Trader’s Diary: There is room for more upgrades here, a detailed Trading journal is much needed. Probably there are few products out there, but not all products are customized for Indian Traders / Investors. Few features in Trader’s journal For Ex:
- Trade Logs with With Timeframe, Setups, Link TV Chart
- Analytics
- Win Rate
- Equity Curve
- Dark Mode : Royal Blue version which you have on the Web, might look good in App version (Dark Mode). Food for thought !!
- Forever Order while placing CNC / Investing order, right now we have to wait till T+1 day.
- Trailing Stop loss for Equity Delivery type (Think already there are few ongoing threads about this feature request, would really like to see this feature prioritized)
- Not Sure, if this is possible : Just like we show open positions in a chart, Will it be possible to show Current Holdings as well in the chart (with Avg Buy Price) ? along with OCO orders (if any).
Cosmetic Enhancement :
Dhan Logo looks a bit pixelated in the home page

Before I conclude, I would like to state that, you all are doing amazing work and thinking outside the box and truly making a difference.

My issues in dhan
1-Many times orders of SL or Target not executes just after market opens, I have experienced this issue many times, then I need to cancel that order and place a fresh order.
2- Entry Stoploss and Target order in single order not available like upstox and sharekhan.
3-Sorting feature in price alert and draft order is not available many times requested.
4-Sorting issue in watchlist by A-Z
5-After order placement we need to back to order book step by step there should be option to direct jump on orderbook/Positions page.
Hope team dhan look in these issues.

Thanks for taking out time for sharing this, let me start by saying - we love feedback and suggestions from our users, and it always a pleasure to start day with such detailed one.
Yes, we continue to work really really hard on Charts and specially with TradingView - they have been great partners to us. We innovated a lot - seconds charts, india time frames, load times, sync across platforms and many more that are under the hood and many more are coming. Scaling up our tech and underlying infrastructure is a must do for us and we continue to evaluate this every month and ofcourse on special days like Election Results & Budget day. Yes, you are right about the industry first initiatives like DDPI, QR Login, One Tap with ICICI Bank, and many others. Community members of Dhan have been very kind to help us build and set direction of our product and feedback rollouts.
On Cons and Feature Requests - many things here are at works, including Mobile updates and Price Alerts. These require huge development efforts at our end and may take a bit long, but they are definitely on the cards.
We will be posting shortly product roadmap for rest of the year (2024) and you won’t be disappointed with that. Have also shared your post with our team to pick up on multiple UI suggestions.

Hi @yogesh86k We have your feedback (also shared earlier) with us. Some of these things are at work.
On 5. we have already rolled this out on Dhan app. Post order placement - we now redirect users to the Orders section for them to have real-time view of the order status. Do check if you are on the latest app version and confirm.

@PravinJ This is has become a pain point for me and others who place orders from option chain. After each order from option chain we are now directed to orders page. A 4 leg order now needs atleast 3 round trips between option chain and orders page which is hampering the speed at which orders can be placed manually.
For every executed order Dhan already gives push notifications. If order has failed Dhan can give an appropriate push notification. Orders can be fired through multiple channels - tradingview, api, scanX, strategy builder, app & web (from multiple points) etc. So a global push notifications solution may be a better way to alert the user than sending them over a round trip traffic line especially from an option chain.

“Trailing Stop Loss for Equity Delivery Type”
I am continuously asking for it in this community. The same thing is present in the Upstox GTT order. But in Dhan, it’s not present. I do swing trading regularly in Upstox only because of that feature. It’s essential to protect capital, for people who don’t have time to check news about stocks regularly. In my job time, I can’t check the market. So this future in Upstox protects my capital on Election Day and Budjet Day crashes.
Hope Dhan include this future in next update itself.
