Hello Team kindly allow the users to import upto 3 custome indicators built by users on TV platform to dhan . Right now OI is not available on TV for nifty options . If we can use the indicator built on TV then we can use the OI data provided by dhan in real time. Kindly add this feature a limit on number of indicators is must else platform will get flooded with unnecessary codes.
If say that is a library limit implemented by TV, can we deploy a temp local server to host custom indicator/ user code.
A limitation could be, to load those custom indicators/code everyday manually , but still better then no custom indicator.
Building custom indicators on Dhan Charts is a difficult and challenging. We work closely with the TradingView team, but some features available on tradingview.com are not extended to us. One such feature is community scripts.
That said, please let us know which indicator you would like to see on Dhan Charts. We will review it and check if it can be implemented on our platform.
Just out of curiosity why not use native TV rather than Dhan TV ? With native TV we have access to custom scripts, backtesting engine, deep historical data, wide market access etc. Besides for order execution,
Dhan is integrated in the broker panel and so we can manually placed orders right from tradingview
Through webhooks we can also place orders automatically in Dhan.
From my point of view, TradingView’s free plan feels quite restrictive, and the paid plans start at around ₹10,000 per year. After adding IGST, the cost goes up even more, which is hard to justify when trading or investing with limited capital.
On top of that, the free plan allows only one chart per tab, making it even less practical for my needs.
Ok I get you. TV has gradually increased their charges over the years. In order to protect their native TV revenue stream they are unlikely to offer advanced features of their native platform on their free charting library that they offer to third parties like stock brokers.
Stock brokers on the other hand may find it a challenging exercise to bring a scripting language development and run time interface, backtesting engine etc running on top of their data feed. Note that it is not just the coding part to build but heavy and costly backend demand for computing resources.
But note that using broker APIs and custom coding we can do almost anything that we want for personal trading needs. So I would start with what is available as free and once something looks viable consider spending some money to get what I want. Infact that is what I did when I started trading.
@t7support I have TV premium plan, and do all testing there, trying to built and experiment on web hooks, which i love it.
But from a 1 min candle scalper point of view of a option buyer.
I want to tell you that I like to see my live profit all the time, as you know a lot of times option price just do not respect underlay and move as per its own price momentum.
And on Native TV the Live profit do not get updated as fast as price moves (or with some delay compare to native dhan), Which is an issue for me and many others.
