Dear Dhan Team,
I would like to request a feature that helps traders quickly determine the maximum number of option lots they can buy based on their available capital.
Current Issue:
When placing an options trade on charts, users manually enter the quantity or lot size. [Please check attached screenshots]
However, there is no direct way to calculate how many lots they can afford with their available funds. Currently, traders have to manually divide their available margin by the margin required per lot, which can be time-consuming, especially in fast-moving markets.
Proposed Feature:
- Add a โMax Lotโ button on the chart itself that automatically calculates and fills the maximum quantity based on available capital.
- The system should consider the available margin and the margin required per lot when suggesting the maximum lot size.
- This feature should update dynamically as prices change, ensuring accurate calculations.
- A separate Enable/Disable button can be provided so traders who want to use this feature can enable it while others can keep it disabled.
Why This is Important:
- Scalping Will Be Easier: This is especially beneficial for option buyers who need to make quick trades.
- Avoids Manual Calculator Work: I use high capital, and it gets frustrating to manually calculate lot sizes for every scalping trade.
- Faster Trade Execution: No need for manual calculations; traders can quickly execute orders.
- Reduced Errors: Avoid mistakes when manually computing lot sizes, especially in volatile markets.
- Better Capital Management: Helps traders utilize their funds efficiently without over-allocating.
Alternative Solution:
If this feature cannot be implemented within the platform, please let me know. In that case, I would appreciate guidance on setting this up externally using the Dhan API to achieve a similar functionality.
This feature would be incredibly helpful for active traders and improve the overall trading experience.
Looking forward to your response!
