Buybacks on Dhan App

Till now to apply for buyback we needed to login to web. But with the latest version 1.1.3 Dhan has made Buyback applying process very easy and smooth.

Now we can apply for buybacks via the IPO section directly on the Dhan app.

@RahulDeshpande @PravinJ I don’t know who manages the IPO section and this new Buyback option - I have noticed some bugs as usual and need a minor improvement in the Buyback page. That’s why I am typing out them here.

1. The “Expected Gain” text is not properly optimized for users using the dark theme, resulting in poor visibility and readability.

  1. I understand that when I haven’t applied for buyback then the Buyback Returns will not be calculated in screenshot below. When I have already applied for buyback then atleast the returns should be calculated basis avg buy price and quantity tendered.

  2. Bajaj Auto buyback is missing from upcoming list.

  3. There is no option to go to a stock page from this Buyback page, like if I want to view stock performance or other data I will have to search it seperately. The company name can be made clickable linking directly to stock page.

  4. Now talking about Accord Synergy, that company hasn’t gone for buyback . This listing is Open offer for Takeover not buyback. Technically the process is similar to Open Market Buyback but still this may cause confusion.

  5. Please mention tender route or open market route for buybacks.

  6. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1262JZN-isc1_LZMOmg54PI6awKh-7vPl/view?usp=drivesdk The back button doesn’t work for My Bids listings. See the video.

  7. In the past also I had requested for a filter option between Mainboard and SME IPOs just add a toggle to hide SME IPOs.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Thanks for your detailed feedback @Pradumya . We’ve noted your points for evaluation and next steps. About the Bajaj Auto buyback, we cannot show it under upcoming Buybacks until we receive it via the exchange officially. As soon as we do, it will reflect.

@Soha_Jagtap_Dhan 2 points regarding quoted :

1. Today 24th June was the record date, if this buyback is not listed under Upcoming buyback earlier to Record date then “Upcoming Buyback part” is useless then.

2. I can find the NSE/BSE public notice for buyback of Bajaj Auto, I don’t understand how you didn’t receive it.

3. I would also like you to add one more section of Past Buybacks/Closed Buybacks. Like there is Closed IPOs section same way. Whether I applied or not the closed buybacks should be listed to analyse for future buybacks.

  1. In the screen recording shared earlier, there was Cyient Limited Buyback in Open but now that is also now invisible to me, is it because I have applied for it? Even if I have applied for the buyback still that should be visible to me under Open section logically.
  2. If you pause at 3rd second of that screen recording you can see that Entitlement ratio is missing from that page. For your information, Entitlement ratio of Cyient: Reserved Category: 2 out of 19 (10.56%) General Category: 1 out of 14 (7.14%)

6. Also lastly there is no mention of Acceptance ratio even after buyback has completed, this is the most basic detail for any buyback.
