Would like to request a feature that would be extremely useful for traders who actively trade ETFs and other range-bound securities.
Many ETFs frequently trade within a defined range for extended periods. For example, an ETF may continuously oscillate between ₹10 and ₹11.
Currently, if I want to repeatedly buy at ₹10 and sell at ₹11, I need to manually place fresh orders after every execution. This becomes tedious and inefficient.
Suggested Feature – Loop Order / Range Trading Order
Example:
-
Buy Price: ₹10
-
Sell Price: ₹11
When the buy order executes at ₹10:
- The system should automatically place a sell order at ₹11.
When the sell order executes at ₹11:
- The system should automatically place a fresh buy order at ₹10.
This cycle should continue automatically based on the user’s settings.
User-Selectable Loop Count
The user should have the option to specify:
-
Infinite Loop (until manually cancelled), or
-
Fixed Number of Cycles
For example:
-
Repeat 5 times
-
Repeat 10 times
-
Repeat 25 times
-
Repeat 50 times
-
Custom number of cycles
If a user sets 20 cycles, the system should automatically stop after completing 20 buy-sell loops.
Order Display
The active order screen should clearly show:
-
Buy Price: ₹10
-
Sell Price: ₹11
-
Completed Cycles: 7/20
-
Remaining Cycles: 13
-
Current Status: Waiting to Buy / Waiting to Sell
Benefits
-
Ideal for ETFs and range-bound stocks.
-
Eliminates repetitive manual order entry.
-
Helps traders systematically capture recurring price swings.
-
Saves time and improves execution discipline.
-
Reduces the risk of missing opportunities.
-
Particularly useful for traders using capital rotation strategies in low-volatility instruments.
Even if a fully unlimited loop order is not feasible from a technical or regulatory perspective, a feature allowing users to predefine the number of buy-sell cycles would still be extremely valuable.
I believe this feature would be unique among retail trading platforms and would be highly appreciated by active ETF and swing traders.
Thank you for considering this enhancement.
