Custom Indicator Request

I am writing to request a powerful new feature: a Custom Indicator Builder integrated with a robust Backtesting Engine.

Traders need the ability to code their own indicators and immediately test them against historical data. Key requirements for this feature include:

  • Custom Date Ranges: Ability to backtest over specific years or custom date ranges.

  • Multi-Timeframe Analysis: Support for testing strategies across different timeframes for both swing and option trading.

  • Visual Performance Metrics: Detailed charts showing the Equity Curve, Drawdown Curve, Profit Percentage, and Win Rate.

  • Chart Integration: The custom indicator should plot buy/sell signals directly on the charts for visual verification. @Rahul Thankyou.

Hi @theinspired_Youth, welcome to MadeForTrade community!

Many community members have requested a custom indicator builder and functionality similar to Pine Script available on TradingView.

As many of you may know, we have a deep partnership with TradingView for charts, and platforms like tv.dhan.co are built on their charting library. Due to this integration structure, providing a fully native custom scripting environment can be challenging.

That said, we are continuously exploring possible solutions around this.

Meanwhile, we request you to try the Market Replay feature on Dhan Charts, where you can:
• Backtest indicators and chart patterns
• Replay historical market conditions
• Use your preferred Dhan In-house indicators
• Analyze trade reports and simulations on historical data

but that very necessity for dhan user imagine lakh and lakh of your client are telling u give this indicator that indicator and thats very time consuming i requested one indicator which has not been implemented for last 2 years had u given me the platform to create custom indicator i have created those in second and also create internal webhook so that once my custom indicator satisy condition super order with defined parameter on that strategy will take place the trade.
