Hi,
As the title says, positions on the app can not be sorted in any ascending OR descending order. only option is to sort it by underlying and that also gets reset when you change page to anything else so everytime when you go back to positions page you’ve to find which position is where.
It should be by default atleast be sorted by alphabetical order it makes easier to find and manage positions.
see pic for ref. reliance positions are there across the whole positions page. if i’m managing my trade i’ll have to keep finding where that specific position is on the page.
same is there on web as well but atleast on web we can sort it again by single click on name like this.

but on mobile app its always like this. it’s very frustrating. positions by default should be in any specific order at-least!

Hi @magicpoison Thanks for the note.
Yes - there is a specific way in which the positions are shown - the latest transaction / order which creates a fresh position, the new position will come at the bottom of the list. To keep it in short, the oldest position is shown at the top and the recent ones is at the bottom. The patter is replicable and shown in same way on web and the app. Just that on the web, there is a option to sort. On App, the option isn’t available because the positions are stacked one above other.
Hope this solves for it, now that you know how the positions are displayed.
okay, understood. however, isn’t it better to list them in app as per alphabetical order? it seems all cluttered. recent/newest positions at the bottom maybe useful for intraday trades but for positional/swing traders it’s cluttered view as if i start 2 trades on 1st and manage trade for 10 days and if i do 1 adjustment in each trades then it’s strikes will always be in cluttered view for both trades it’ll look like a sandwich.
Giving same option as web for phone app will make it a lot easier! Please give such option to sort by names it’ll make life a lot easier to manage trades in sudden moves.
just to give an example in yesterday’s sudden move i was finding the position on the page and it took me some time and by that time the sensex option price moved 40pts! i know it’s not a daily occurrence but it’s a lot. if it were listed all together it’d have taken me a few seconds less and maybe the slippage would be 20 instead of 40.
so i request this feature on app to show positions in ascending alphabetical order as a global/perm. setting for the app so it always lists like that.
