I hope this breach is related to the forum only and not spread to Dhan’s database and clients’ details.

That portfolio thing got fixed. Maybe the Dhan systems were not in sync.
It won’t be related to these scammers as community is altogether different credentials, only staff members would know our Dhan account information here.
The spammer is just creating new accounts and spamming, anyone can do that. There is a need of moderator roles in the community and some extra validations before letting people post threads.

Since the markets are off today, a new build went live, and you would be able to see your portfolio.
The recent spam influx in our community is due to automated posts triggered by certain bad actors, as ours is an open forum. Rest assured, I’m implementing backend solutions to prevent this in the future. These two issues are entirely unrelated, and I assure you that your portfolio and all data are secure.

Spammed even angel one community as well.

They are using auto sign up bots. They do this on every community.

@RahulDeshpande flagged 20+ threads now. I have some ideas on controlling these spams. In case you are interested to know please let me know.
Also please create some area where we can see staff names are online on the community. So that we can tag them for faster cleaning of these Spammers

This would increase the workload for admins and may require to hire a moderator as full time job role
Better alternate would be to only let new users reply to existing threads rather than creating their own new thread.
And i have an idea on how these spammers can easily skip the automated moderation checks, they create genuine thread with genuine words then edit the thread to their spammy message.
In case Dhan wants to hire full time role employees for moderation or improving the systems - I am ready to be hired. @PravinJ @RahulDeshpande

@RahulDeshpande give promotion to some members to moderators so they can easily manage the community. People who are from Trust level 0 & Trust level 1 need to take approval from moderator to post in community. Mainly new people do this type of spaming if we restrict them it can be easily controlled.

It’s a great idea! While our community is currently small, the volume of posts is growing rapidly. We want to ensure users feel free to post and resolve their queries without restrictions. That said, we’re always open to suggestions on how to manage this better.

Yes, it has been implemented.
We have redefined the criteria for joining Trust Level 1 groups and have introduced more stringent rules moving forward.

Ensure that the filtering even works for after edited posts.
Like firstly I write something genuine then edit it to these spammy messages. In this case the filtering should also remove the edited message.
