- Mutual Fund AUM All-Time high : Total assets under management (AUM) surged to an all-time high of ₹68.08 lakh crore, marking a steady growth from the previous month’s ₹67.26 lakh crore despite a challenging equity market environment.
- All-Time High Inflows: Monthly inflows reached ₹60,295 crore, led by strong contributions across open-ended categories.
- Expanding Retail Base: The number of folio accounts rose to 22.08 crore in November 2024, up from 21.65 crore in October 2024, with significant additions in equity-oriented schemes.

Types of Mutual Funds and Their Performance
Key Highlights and Unique Observations:
- Equity Funds: Saw robust inflows of ₹35,943 crore, with significant activity in small-cap and mid-cap funds.
- Debt Funds: Reached a record AUM of ₹16.86 lakh crore, with noticeable inflows into low-duration and ultra-short-duration funds.
- Hybrid Funds: Achieved an all-time high AUM of ₹8.77 lakh crore, led by multi-asset-allocation funds.
- Passive Funds: Attracted ₹7,061 crore, with index funds seeing the highest inflows.

SIP (Systematic Investment Plan) Insights
Stable Contributions: SIP contributions remained robust at ₹25,320 crore, demonstrating a steady commitment from investors despite market volatility.
Folio Growth: The number of SIP accounts continued to grow, crossing 10.22 crore accounts. This growth, although slightly slower compared to previous months, still reflects a strong trend towards disciplined, long-term investment habits.
Asset Contribution: SIPs contributed significantly to the overall mutual fund assets, accounting for approximately 19.9% of the industry’s total AUM. This proportion has remained relatively stable, indicating the enduring appeal of SIPs as a core investment strategy among retail investors.
