While requesting this feature, I feel like I might be asking for too much, but I’m still hopeful. I don’t think any of the trading platforms currently offer something like this, and it would be especially useful for my use case. I’m not sure how many other traders would relate to this, but I’d love to know what others think.
The problem is that sometimes I do options buying, sometimes options selling, and sometimes stock option buying. I want to be able to view and analyze each of these separately.
For example, if I’m doing options selling, I want to be able to select an “Options Selling” profile and see how my overall performance looks specifically for that type of trading — including my funds, P&L, performance, etc.
Similarly, if I select “Options Buying,” I want to see my performance specifically for options buying.
Ideally, I would like to have multiple profiles or views under the same username. For example:
-
XYZ Profile → Options Selling
-
ABC Profile → Options Buying
-
DEF Profile → Stock Buying
These wouldn’t need to be separate accounts or usernames. They would simply be different views/categories within the same account, allowing me to analyze my trading style separately.
Another way to think about it is tagging trades.
For example, when I make a trade, I could tag it as:
-
Options Selling
-
Options Buying
-
Stock Buying
-
Or even create my own custom tags
Then I could filter my entire trading history based on these tags and see things like P&L, win rate, capital used, performance over time, and other analytics for each category.
This would help me understand how I perform with different trading styles and in different types of markets, instead of having everything mixed together.
I’m not sure if this is technically possible or if there is enough demand for such a feature, but I think it could be extremely useful for traders who use multiple strategies.
Is something like this possible? Has anyone else felt the need for this?
