Friend: “Bro, I got a call from a trading company today
They’re saying 10 percent returns every day through Telegram tips”
Me: “Okay. Invest ₹5.”
Friend: “Are you serious
What will ₹5 even do”
Me, thinking for a second: “Not much.
It’ll just turn into roughly ₹10,000 crore in a year.”
Pause.
You can almost hear the math loading…
Me: “If this actually worked, they wouldn’t be cold-calling random people.
They’d already be managing billionaire money.”
Call ended.
Scam avoided.
Logic restored.
Simple rule
Anyone guaranteeing daily returns is selling a story, not a strategy.

you get these calls only if you’ve opened demat with those stupid brokers. they sell numbers and details to these tips guys and you start getting such calls. i had this experience in 2020-22 phase when i had demats with those small brokerage firms back in those days like alice blue etc. and this is not just limited to brokerage firms. if you’re in any groups on whatsapp/telegram/insta and if your number is public they target you from there as well!
i’m sure dhan is not sharing/selling our data so if you have an account with only dhan then you’re less likely to get these calls.
Hi @Goal_Archiver, thank you for sharing this. Yes, I also receive such calls claiming unrealistically high accuracy. Please stay cautious, as genuine market advisors never guarantee fixed returns or accuracy.
@magicpoison Thank you for your trust. Please read our User-First Policy for more details: Building Dhan as Investor First Platform | Dhan
I receive no marketing calls since I’m registered with DND, and I tend to ignore calls from unfamiliar numbers, especially those from other states.
However, after signing up for an options analysis platform that required my phone number for OTP verification, I started noticing a significant increase in unsolicited messages—both SMS and WhatsApp.
Any unsolicited messages I receive on WhatsApp, I always mark as spam.
Even I am registered for DND service. But as soon as I register or join any community or something, I start getting spam calls. It is sometimes tiring to report these numbers.
That’s so true. Shameless marketing. Privacy is a myth.
