Do You Maintain a Trading Journal? Why or Why Not?

Hey Dhan Traders!

Quick question for everyone:
Do you currently maintain a trading journal?
If yes — how has it helped your performance?
If no — what’s stopping you?

I realized a lot of retail traders (including myself earlier) often skip journaling… but once I started tracking every trade, I saw real improvement in my discipline, patterns, and profits.

To make this easier for Indian traders like us, I built a simple but powerful Trading Journal Tool — completely free to use!

**Introducing: MarketFactor.online

Here’s what it helps you with:

  1. Win Rate, Profit Factor & Stats Dashboard
  2. separate your setups like “Breakout”, “Reversal”, “News-based”, etc.
  3. Simple, clean interface for Indian markets

Would love your thoughts:

  • What feature would YOU want in a journal?
  • Would you actually use a tool like this daily?

Let’s discuss below — your feedback helps me improve this for all of us!

can you add field or let us add new field for input?
I am taking trades in options and equity both with different strategies. I want to log which strategy it was!
I want to check each strategies performance.
If possible then i want you to make import order book and we will have to just log comments and strategy names for each. Hope you get it.
Think also like the trade is going to last for few days and we log daily our trades. So if you want us to log daily ( I am doing daily in spreadsheet ) then there might not be exit order. I mean SL or Target at that time. So it should automatically adjust to past trade. which i have done for my spreadsheet in python. So i think you can also do it.

nice product but don’t we already have a journal in dhan? for my crypto trades i need one though i prefer hand written diaries / journal (no word limit) … one suggestion though add charts or screenshots / gifs or videos
