Exchange Update: NSE Index Feed will now be updated every 0.5 Seconds from 8th April 2024

Hello Traders,

On 15th February, 2024, NSE announced that all Index values updates (of NSE) will now be sent at a time interval of 500 milliseconds, which earlier used to be once every second. Basically two updates every second v/s one that is available currently.

As part of higher frequency for real-time index dissemination by Exchange, all your index value will now get updated faster, offering more real-time information on market actions.

This will be applicable from 8th April, 2024. You can read more from the exchange circular here - NSE/MSD/60724.

At Dhan, we have built our websockets to deliver real-time data on all Dhan products with low latency. You will be able to see subsecond updates on all index values soon across Dhan products and also all Charts. Dhan’s broadcast and ticket updates are already forward compatible and are built in a way to ensure you see these updates.

PS: Our regular traders will know that we update P&L and Portfolios multiple times every second.

How do you think faster dissemination of index values will benefit your trading? Do let us know in this thread.

Best Regards,
Hardik
