Existing Mutual fund new investment query

I had multiple Mutual funds for a long time now. Some directly through AMC, some through Groww.
Like for example I have invested in HDFC XYZ Fund with groww

My query is if I start a new sip or one time investment in the same HDFC XYZ fund, will the existing folio number match with Dhan investment or will it create new folio number?
Also I have like ~5L invested in this fund, so if I start via Dhan so will the portfolio include earlier 5L or start afresh?

Just a request - Please give option to investors to have MF in SoA or demat. I don’t want to have MF in demat form… I like SoA only.

Hi @Pradumya

When you make your first SIP or Investment through Dhan—this will set up a new folio for you. Everything you invest on Dhan will be linked right back to this, neat and tidy!

And don’t worry about your previous investments; they’ll stay with your original provider.

lastly yep, SOA and Demat options both will be supported, so you’ll have the freedom to choose either!

So this means I have eventually have 2 folio numbers for same fund. Then what happens if I consolidate the folios thru Mfcentral?
