Hi Team & Community,
I regularly use the Opening Range Breakout (ORB) Indicator on Dhan, and it is a core part of my daily trading workflow. To make it more versatile and keep our charts clean, I would love to suggest a few feature enhancements and UI inputs:
I have attached two images to each section showing the UI behaviour when the checkbox is unchecked versus checked.
1. Optional Midline Plotting
- The Request: Add a mathematical midline (average of the ORB High and ORB Low) inside the opening range.
- UI Control: Provide a toggle checkbox (
[ ] Show Midline). When checked, it plots the midline; when unchecked, it remains hidden to avoid noise.

2. Historical ORB Data Toggle (De-cluttering Feature)
- The Request: Add a session visibility control that allows users to restrict ORB rendering to the active trading session.
- UI Control: Provide a checkbox (
[ ] Show Historical ORB).- If checked: The indicator draws ORB levels for previous historical days.
- If unchecked: The indicator only displays the ORB for the current day. This will prevent charts from looking messy and overloaded when scrolling through historical bars.

3. Flexible Visual Styles (Box vs. Lines View)
- The Request: Allow users to switch the visual representation of the opening range depending on their aesthetic preference.
- UI Control: Provide a checkbox (
[ ] Render as Box / Shaded Area).- If checked: It creates a clean, shaded rectangular bounding box covering the duration of the opening range.
- If unchecked: It displays strictly as horizontal price lines (High/Low boundaries) stretching across the timeline.

These additions would significantly improve flexibility for intraday price-action traders. Would love to hear the community’s thoughts on this, and hope the Dhan product team can consider
