I am a regular user of the Dhan mobile application and am very happy with the features you provide. The app has significantly improved my trading experience.
I am writing to request a new feature: an option to “Keep the chart display active at all times” within the app.
Currently, if I switch to another app or the screen locks, the chart view refreshes when I return. For active traders, this is a minor inconvenience that can disrupt the analysis process, especially when a quick look at another app or message is necessary.
An option to keep the chart active in the background, similar to how it works on the web platform, would be a very useful addition. This would allow for seamless switching between apps without losing the current chart view and its state (like indicators or drawing tools). This small change would greatly benefit traders who rely on real-time data and technical analysis.
Thank you for considering this request. I look forward to seeing more new and innovative features from Dhan. @Dhanush4777 @Dhan
We have a very different chart architecture (will write a detailed note on this sometime) that ensures speed and accuracy. What you have suggested, was tried by us sometime back - however that resulted in massive consumption of data for many users, and also since lot of our users have multiple indicators / patterns / layouts - it leads to excessive usage of processing capabilities, low end devices heat up.
That said, we are going to roll-out one big update on charts for mobile in coming weeks. This should maximise the time for which we keep connection live based on optimal usage of data.
I think this also depends on the device on which the app is used. If your device settings are aggressive regarding background apps, it will pause or stop the app from working when it goes into the background and resume once the app is reopened.
So something that is not in the hands of the app developer in case…
