Hi @Hardik @Shubham_Singh @PravinJ @Pranita @Mohseen_Usmani Can I use a second account’s feed on the same server for extra depth sockets to pull depth 20 and depth 200 ? Or Dhan Team can raise the depth socket limit on my account?
Hi @Parthiban_Sub the data is streamed as received, and already consumed from more than one location of exchanges. Suggest going through this post, on how it works - https://madefortrade.in/t/from-the-exchange-to-your-screen-how-dhan-built-a-fast-market-data-platform-for-retail-traders/92131
@PravinJ Thanks for the reply. Our question was not about data latency. It is only about connection and subscription limits for Full Market Depth. Please answer the two questions below with Yes/No.
Our current usage (one account, client ID 1106656882):
- 20-level depth: 5 sockets × 50 instruments = 250 instruments
- 200-level depth: 5 sockets × 1 instrument = 5 instruments
Q1. Can these per-account limits be increased (more sockets, or more instruments per socket)? If yes, what is the process, and is there a charge?
Q2. If we open a second, separately registered Dhan account in our own name, may we run its depth sockets from the same server and the same static IP as our first account? Or does this break any Dhan policy?
A Yes/No for each would help us plan correctly. Thank you.
Hi @Parthiban_Sub ,
Thank you for your patience and for taking the time to discuss this with us over the call.
As discussed, the current Full Market Depth subscription limits are fixed and cannot be increased at this time. These limits are applicable on a per Client ID basis.
If you require additional depth subscriptions, you may consider using multiple Client IDs, as the limits are tracked independently for each Client ID.
Feel free to reach out at apihelp@dhan.co.
Thanks for the information.
