I added Rs. 60,000 via IMPS to the Dhan’s “smart bank” account (axis bank account) through my registered bank account on 22nd July 3:07 PM.
Despite the transaction being successful, it’s still not reflecting in your system. Yesterday morning, I had a chat with customer support executive. I had sent my bank statement via chat. She told me she has raised a support ticket regarding the same. Till now, there is zero update from your side.
What’s more concerning is that I received zero emails from you regarding the support ticket and the automated chatbot says there is no support ticket raised.
Ridiculous! You are holding hostage to my 60,000 rupees.
We reviewed this and found this is already raised to our Payment vendor yesterday. Kindly allow us some time to get an update. Our chat team provided the ticket ID for your case.
I agree there should be a proactive communication about TAT & status. Rest assured, our team is working on this.
I’ve noticed an important privacy issue with Dhan, which I had observed earlier but didn’t want to bring up until now.
When I transfer funds from my bank account to the broker’s account using secure banking protocols like IMPS or NEFT, I’ve noticed that a third-party payment vendor gets involved. Specifically, I experienced this issue firsthand with Dhan. When I made an IMPS transfer (which is supposed to be secure), I received an email notification from your payment vendor, Razorpay. This means that my transaction IMPS and NEFT details are being shared by you to a third party, which violates my privacy and also breaches data protection laws.
This is why I believe Dhan, or its management, doesn’t fully understand client privacy or data protection.
Comparing it to Zerodha (sorry to mention them here, but they are the industry leader in client privacy), they make privacy their number one priority. When discussing with my friends who have larger accounts, they don’t want to move away from Zerodha because they value how seriously Zerodha takes client confidentiality.
Thanks for sharing your concern. All broking platform (including the one you mentioned) use payment gateway vendors. Some may have direct gateway with a few top banks, like we have with ICICI Bank. We understand the convenience and additional security it offers, and we also have plans to include more banks.
