Here’s early look at what we’ve been working on - Coming this April

@thisisbanerjee i will anyways use SOA only, I don’t need margin or any kind of trading. I am investor only.

@PravinJ @Saurav.P have u checked?

Even I haven’t got it yet. Perhaps they will widely roll out after launching it officially.

Dear All,

Please wait for official announcements, this is being rolled out in batches for all users.

Clue: If you have received the update, activation can be done from the pledge section on
Dhan or a demat tab will show up in portfolio!

Thanks,
Pranita

Hi. I have received the app update mentioning demat MF’s but when I go to the invest page, still old style is only shown instead providing option to select mode between SOA and Demat form.

Also checked the pledge section, can see no option to activate. Please clarify.

Also the MF units on dhan web is messed up in my portfolio. While the app shows correct units and amount, the web interface shows too much inflated units but the invested amount reflects correctly. Please look into this as well.

Demat MF’s have been activated and the first order placed successfully. Thanks @Pranita for helping out.

Have a small query regarding the primary banks and secondary bank for Demat MF’s.
Does it work the same way like it used to work for SOA MF’s like redemption to the primary bank account?

For example, if my Demat a/c has HDFC as primary bank and Mutual funds in demat form has ICICI as primary bank, on redemption to which bank account does the funds get credited in this case?

Also, I can’t see option to invest via secondary bank accounts when selected the demat MF. Would help if you can provide clarification on these FAQ’s.

@Pranita also take a look for DSP Value fund also. Not allowing Lumpsum as well as SIP? At other broker it’s allowing.

Hi @thisisbanerjee

To keep things stable and smooth for everyone, we’re rolling out the update in phases. You’re very likely to see an update soon.

Thanks. Can you please check the DM. Posted a query yesterday there.

Where is my mf gone…??:woozy_face::woozy_face:

Hi @Pranita
There should be option to save defaults. Sometimes in hurry we could invest in Demat form instead of SOA because Demat is default when clicking on Invest now button.
Also is it possible to have facilty for existing SOA units to convert to Demat on Dhan itself? (Only for invested via Dhan)

Hi @Pradumya Default option is SoA, Demat will show up only if activated and if not - it continues to be seamless as ever. Even Demat is on - it is highlighted on every screen interaction to ensure mistake doesn’t happen.

Nope - the facility to convert does not exist otherwise between RTAs and Depository. If the enablers do not have this, we will not be able to provide this option to our users.

Then we need to redeem now and re invest in mf …??? @PravinJ @Saurav.P @thisisbanerjee

@Pranita I have enabled demat for MFs in my individual account.

However, I see there is no option to use MFs for HUF account. Please enable that as well. Already DDPI is enabled in my HUF account.

Why aren’t ELSS schemes which not under lock-in now and are approved from exchange for margin not eligible for pledge?

Are there any DP charges charged at the time of selling Dhan Demat Mutual Funds?

Hi @Subhash555, welcome to MadeForTrade community.

Yes, a charge of ₹12.50 plus GST will be applicable for selling Mutual Fund units held in your Demat account, similar to the charges applicable for equity and ETF transactions.

Just a small note, while we’re always here to support you, madefortrade isn’t an official customer support channel. For real-time assistance, we kindly encourage you to reach out to our official customer support team here .

Dhan demat mutual funds Features are not good Dhan mf sell time dp charges 12.50 + gst for each transact. But zerodha demat mutual fund provides and there is no dp charges at the time of sale of zerodha mutual fund.
