How to set the target and stop loss with a super order for an open long option position

How to set the target and stop loss with a super order for an open long option position?

Hi @ameenalit,

Good to see you back on community after a while and not sure how we missed this! If you already have an open position in, you wonโ€™t be able to place TP/SL using Super Order, as Super Order requires an entry order (main leg) along with TP/SL.

However, as an alternative, you can still set target and stop-loss orders for your open position in normal/delivery using the " Forever OCO" option. We have explained more here - Introducing Forever Orders (with OCO) on Sell Side

Hi Prithvi,

Thank you for your response and the information regarding Forever OCO orders.

Regarding Super Orders, Iโ€™d like to request an increase in the default target and stop-loss percentage. Currently, the default settings can trigger almost immediately after the main leg execution, particularly in volatile market conditions. This leaves insufficient time for strategy adjustments.

Specifically, could you please consider increasing the default percentages to at least 10% or preferably 15%? This would provide a more practical buffer and allow traders to manage their positions effectively.

I believe this adjustment would significantly enhance the Super Order feature. Please consider this for a future update.

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

Hi @ameenalit,

Thank you for your suggestion! We appreciate your insights on enhancing the Super Order feature. Your feedback has been noted, and we will assess the possibility of incorporating this adjustment in future updates.

Just to add, if you wish, you can enter more than the defined % mentioned in the TP/SL manually. This allows our users to place TP/SL orders without specifying a price range, ensuring better trade management.

Hi Prithvi Bhaneriya

Thank you for acknowledging my suggestion regarding Super Order percentages.

While I understand the ability to manually enter higher percentages, as a scalper, I often need to place orders rapidly. In those situations, thereโ€™s rarely time to calculate and type in the precise price based on a percentage.

Therefore, Iโ€™d like to suggest an alternative: adding an option to enter target and stop-loss values as absolute amounts, similar to bracket orders. This would significantly streamline the process and allow for faster, more efficient order placement.

This feature would greatly benefit scalpers and traders who prioritize speed and precision.

Thank you for considering this request.

Thank you again for your suggestion! We understand how important speed and precision are for scalpers. Adding an option to enter target and stop-loss values as absolute amount is a valid feedback, and we will surely explore the possibilities to improve your experience.
