If there is fear it means the capital u r deploying is likely something that u need for daily maintenance or probable emergency. So first u need to build capital that u don’t need for next 5 yrs. Even better is the scenario where u don’t mind losing this capital and u r willing to put it on the line for a better life.

Trust and confidence on a strategy is first built using backtesting. Test u r strategy on deep data and generate metrics like accuracy, risk-reward, max drawdown, losing streaks, profit factor etc. Do factor in transaction charges and slippage effects in real world trading while backtesting.

Then once you have sufficient risk capital trade with small position size using a well tested strategy. If you are successful scale up.

In short there is no easy way to trading success. If u try to create something of your own be willing to put the hard grind. Another option is to work with what somebody else has created and is working.

Hi Sai
I got up early today to backtest a few strategies… I was getting tired and then got this message about your appreciation for the hard work we have been putting into our channel… So I am feeling energetic again :slightly_smiling_face:
Glad to know that.
Okay, coming to the point- Sai the guy who taught me car driving told me once that if you are slightly confused about whether you will be able to pull the car through a narrow road or not, chances are that won’t be able to!!.
The same concept applies here, Derivatives are a risky and tricky product. If you are confused between Equity and Derivatives- Only go for Equity first.
1: It will provide you with comfort
2: You will feel confident sooner
Sai, learn to make money first (and take home some money). Once you are profitable for 4-6 months, now start with FnO. In the meantime, do some backtesting on options strategies.
See, the regular income can be generated thru Options, but first master the game.
Start with Cash mkt: Swing, positional and Intraday. Then slowly move to options, once you are comfortable with Cash mkt. That’s my take. Hope this helps!!
And yes, this is one of the best markets for trading Equities, you may increase the cash and once u are comfy, try derivatives with small capital and then increase slowly.
