Impact of Corporate Action not reflecting on Portfolio

As of now Corporate Actions are listed on a separate page just as information and are then removed.

But the impact of a particular CA is not reflected on our portfolio entries. So in case of Bonus / Spilt (Reliance Industries as the latest example) The entries of ‘Trades’ in the folio and ‘Total Number of shares’ does not match. The total number of shared are in sync with shares in Demat, but there is no corresponding entry / reference of the same on ‘Trades’ tab.

It is important to see the impact of each CAs on our folio and tally the number of shares held with these entries. Some of the free ‘Portfolio’ management portals have this functionality available since many years.

A few years down the line & with 10s of shares in the folio, it’s unthinkable to tally impact of multiple CAs manually on my folio. For an end user like me it’s a MUST have function for a trading portal.

Looking forward to see a quick response & positive resolution. Thanks.

Hi @Sachin_Karandikar

Thanks for your feedback!

As rightly mentioned, we currently display only the trades/transactions placed via the Dhan App/Web in the “Trades” tab.

We will evaluate your suggestion to incorporate Corporate Action (CA) adjustments in the trades. However, the primary intent of the Trades tab is to provide users with a clear view of their transactions executed through the platform, allowing them to track their trade history at a glance.

Thanks Mahima.

I referred to ‘Trades’ tab as I felt that it will be an appropriate place to show impact of CAs along with trade history. How and where to display CAs impact is your design decision.

Do note that it’s not just a suggestion but an important and basic functionality.

It’s critical for an investor to see CA calculation on their folio over all the years. As in absence of this investors won’t be comfortable to build their long term folio on this platform and then keep using some other means to track CA calculations.

Thanks.

Still waiting for an answer as to - Where can investor see impact of CA on their folio?

Seems you have no plans to implement CA which mean no point building portfolio on this platform as in long term investor will be clueless about all the CA on their folio and will have to use other platforms like Moneycontrol to check the CA impact which they are offering for free for years.

Such a basic requirement is not fulfilled by this platform and seems no plan as well.

Disappointed by lack of response on this.

Hi @Sachin_Karandikar

We display both Upcoming & Past Corporate Actions that impact your portfolio holdings and overall market. Once a CA is executed, its effect is already reflected in the stock. You can always check past CAs in the main CA tab, which shows details for the last 7 days.

We’ve heard your feedback and will soon introduce a feature to view all CAs affecting a specific stock directly on its company page.
