🚨 Important Notice from BSE on Discontinuation of Weekly Derivatives Contracts

The BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) has announced key changes in weekly derivatives contracts for BANKEX and SENSEX50 indices, effective from November 2024. These changes align with the SEBI circular issued on October 1, 2024, which aims to strengthen the equity index derivatives framework and boost investor protection and market stability.

Key Updates:

:date: SENSEX50 Weekly Contracts

  • Discontinuation Date: November 14, 2024 (end of day)
  • No new weekly contracts will be generated after this date. Existing unexpired contracts will continue until their respective expiry.

:date: BANKEX Weekly Contracts

  • Discontinuation Date: November 18, 2024 (end of day)
  • Similar to SENSEX50, no new weekly contracts will be generated, but existing contracts will remain active until expiration.
