Important Notice- Markets Open with Settlement Holiday on 1st Feb, 2026

Hello Traders & Investors,

Markets will remain open on Sunday, 1st Feb, 2026 this year on account of presentation of the Union Budget. Market timings will be as per usual between 9.15 am to 3.30 pm for equity and F&O and 9 am to 5 pm for commodities market. However, there will be a settlement holiday that will have the following impacts:

  • BTST (Buy Today, Sell Tomorrow) is allowed – If you purchase stocks on Friday, 30th Jan, they will reflect in your portfolio on Sunday, 1st Feb.
  • MTF (Margin Trading Facility) stocks purchased on Friday, 30th Jan, will not appear in your portfolio on Sunday, 1st Feb. These stocks will be updated in your portfolio only on Monday, 2nd Feb.
  • No trading limits will be available on Sunday, 1st Feb, against MTM (Mark-to-Market) profit from equity & derivatives positions or option premium credit from trades executed on Friday, 30th Jan.
  • For any borrowed positions taken on Friday, 30th Jan, stocks will be updated in your portfolio on Monday, 2nd Feb.
  • Withdrawals will not be available on Sunday, 1st Feb, for any credit balance in your ledger arising from trades executed on Friday, 30th Jan.

Can we exit the options on Sunday, which are bought on friday? And is the capital available for further trading?
