Insufficient Margin error although sufficient margin avl

Hi,

I had enough margin to sell 3 lots of crude. It still gave me an error that I had insufficient margin. Please see the error snapshot:

I was not sure why it was complaining. Post that I added 15000 to my account and executed the order.

The first sell order for 3 lots at 19:20 pm failed due to margin error.
Then I tried to slice the order manually, so executed 2 lots sell order.
Then I tried to execute one more sell order which failed with margin error.
I added 15K
Executed one lot sell order.

Later, I checked the margin balance and there was more than 1Lakh margin available. It means I was forced to add 15K although I had sufficient balance. This sort of issue had happened with me earlier also.

Please explain me why this has happened and whether it will be fixed ?

Hi @smitnk Request you to drop a line about this to our Customer Care on help@dhan.co, can’t comment without looking at details. Most likely there will be change in margin requirement for existing pending order and/or other margin obligations.
