Introducing: All New ETF Experience on Dhan

Dear Traders & Investors,

At Dhan, we’ve been on an exciting journey for over two and a half years, continuously striving to build an incredible Investing & Trading platform for our users. We regularly receive your valuable feedback and suggestions, and while it takes time to refine these experiences, we’re always committed to making them happen on Dhan.

While we have focussed on ETFs from our early days with Investing in ETFs, Dedicated Portfolio section with Insights, ETF Allocation, Pledge with ETFs with highest margins and more. With the significant increase in the number of investors on Dhan, we have also seen growing interest in ETFs.

Many users are choosing ETFs for their low cost, diversification, and ability to invest across a range of assets, from equities, gold to global indices. ETFs offer flexibility, allowing you to buy, sell, or even set up Stock SIPs, providing a convenient way to automate investments and build wealth steadily over time. The versatility of ETFs allows investors to diversify their portfolios effortlessly, access broader market indices — all while benefiting from low cost and high liquidity. For traders, ETFs provide a way to hedge against market volatility or take advantage of margin benefits.

Recognising the growing interest in ETFs, we’ve revamped the entire ETF experience on Dhan to make it simpler, faster, and more intuitive for all our users!

What’s New in the ETF Experience of Dhan

To simplify your experience and offer seamless navigation, we’ve revamped the ETF section with a fresh look and smarter features. Our goal is to make it easier for you to track, explore, and invest in ETFs—all from a single, user-friendly ETF home.

1. ETF Portfolio Overview: At the top, you’ll now find a dedicated ETF Portfolio Overview, where you can instantly see your overall investment, current value, and profit/loss. Tapping on this will take you directly to your ETF Portfolio, where you can further analyse your holdings in detail.

2. Discover ETFs by Indices: Just below your portfolio overview, you’ll find a section where you can explore ETFs by popular indices, including Nifty 50, Nifty Bank, Sensex, Global Indices, and many more. This makes it incredibly easy to discover and invest in ETFs based on market trends or your preferred sectors.

3. Popular ETF Categories: We’ve organised bifurcated categories of ETFs, making it easier to navigate between Sectoral ETFs, Thematic ETFs, Debt ETFs, and more. This way, you can discover new ETFs to diversify your portfolio based on your preferences.

4. Margin Benefits for Traders: For our traders, we’ve curated a section right up front where you can easily find ETFs offering margin benefits. These ETFs allow traders to leverage their existing investments, providing more capital for trading or hedging strategies. With a few clicks, you can buy or add these ETFs to your basket, making it faster and more efficient to act on trading opportunities.

The all new ETF section ensures that whether you’re an investor or trader, all your ETF-related needs from tracking to discovery and action are consolidated into one easy-to-navigate interface.

This update is part of our ongoing efforts to improve your experience on Dhan, ensuring that your investing and trading journey is as smooth and efficient as possible.

We invite you to explore the new ETF experience, and as always, we welcome your feedback to help us continue improving your investing journey on Dhan.

Thanks,
Mahima Shah

Please consider adding ETF iNAV in ETF details.

Please consider adding “buy/sell at iNAV” feature. This request stems from difficulty in buying/selling ETF at iNAV since ETF price moves around the iNAV in a range. It’s difficult to continuously keep track of iNAV changes and change order based on that and typically results in mispriced execution. I believe this can also boost ETF liquidity.

Hello All, Momentum and Alpha ETF Category also to be added. It would be easy to explore that ETFs. For Example :Kotak Nifty Alpha 50 ETF, ICICI Prudential Nifty 200 Momentum 30 ETF etc.

@MahimaShah

  1. It would be better if you can add scroll bar in ETF page to track the insights.
Currently we are using touch/track pad to scroll over the metrics for ETF’s in the web page.

  2. Can you also add weekly(1 Week Return) & Monthly(1 Month Return) returns in the ETF mertrics column similar to the “1 Year Return”.
This helps in tracking or sorting ETF’s based on Weekly & Monthly Retunrs.

  3. Requesting to add Leverage column (ex. 3x 0r 4x) for all eligible symbols in all the pages including ETFs.
