First of all, I want to appreciate the efforts you put into creating a smooth trading experience. I would like to suggest introducing a support code or email OTP feature for resolving queries and issues more effectively.
Use Case:
Many of us trade on behalf of our family members or manage accounts that are registered with their contact details. In such cases, if any issue arises, contacting support becomes a challenge because we may not have access to the registered mobile number at that moment.
If there’s a system where:
A unique support code is generated and linked to the account,
Or a verification OTP is sent to the registered email instead of the mobile number,
Last 4 digit of pan number
This would make it easier for authorized users to seek support on behalf of their family without compromising security.
Hi @Saptarshi Yes, this is already in place at Dhan.
When one will call our Customer Care for any specific account information or query, it requires authentication that is sent to the registered mobile or email address of the user - only post the verification and OTP confirmation, we are able to provide such detailes.
Also please introduce login with Client ID as it provides option to link same mobile number to all family members accounts as every time family members may not be available. Angel One, zerodha and Kotak securities are taking a family declaration consent for using the same mobile number. Even I came across some SEBI circular on this permitting and not needing unique mobile number. Hope this is implemented soon at Dhan @PravinJ
Sir, yesterday I contacted customer care support regarding a trade mismatch issue. I appreciate their prompt resolution but they validate me with sms otp only. If we get email otp it will help those who manage family account.
