Finally Journal by Dhan has been launched, and hope it will address the long standing issues arising during the tax season and also upgrade the reporting quality. However, I don’t see an account value curve or NAV curve. Is that on the cards or has it been dropped? Thanks!

Dhan web. Equity curve is missing. I hope networth is fixed.
Net worth is not there. I checked now. A good start. Hopefully, more to come.

I’m hoping it will allow us to build custom buy and sell conditions based on all the technical indicators listed on tv.dhan.co, using a drag-and-drop system. GAMIFICATION OF STRATEGY . Currently, one can start with equity segments for short-term and long-term trades. However, while you’ve made ScanX, I’m wondering who will manually trigger the trade. Instead, I’d like to set my conditions and enjoy the game.

The above are my first impressions review… i am not a intraday or FnO trader so all the entries are Delivery trades only, there may be other improvements/bugs with FnO data.

This time this is a ‘being baked’ feature. Once this feature matures, I’ll post a detailed list of the good and bad and the bugs (if there’s any). Right now, it is understandable that it is still being worked upon.
I have been providing feedback on my use-cases since launch because I want to keep enjoying the premium experience from Dhan.
There was a feature which showed the day’s P&L range in a bar graph but that was discontinued. It was such a help, I still miss it till this date.
Oh there was… i was thinking about it lately. A chart that shows the Today’s profit like there are in app stock charts.

Journal looks good till now. Would it be a web only portal or can it be accessed from the mobile too?
Regarding KYC controls, is name change and address change coming? Or that is likely to remain an offline process?

Journal will be mainly a web product as most of the reports can be easily viewed on the web version. KYC controls also will be in atges moved to Journal. In a nut shell, all backoffice related activities will be moved to Journal in phases.

This is one of many issues I have with Dhan. Half features gets implemented on web/desktop platforms and half features are implemented on mobile platforms and the features implmented on one platform to be used on other are getting delayed for almost an year or more before they get on other platform.
Started with my nomination facility not being on web platform (problem solved after 6-7 months iirc). Tradingview charts and orders work the best on desktop platform (less chances of errors as the space to see everything is big enough). But for MFs have to shift back to mobile platform as it’s offered on mobile os only (Have saw people including myself asking for MFs to be on web in demat format as well on the forum but again I don’t know if it’s going to be implemented or not in any near term (not the demat format) and for that the answer was less customers using MFs on web/desktop platforms). Again for Journal have to shift to desktop platform (good work on Journal btw but doesn’t mean it has to be one platform only). Can’t sync with cleartax or quicko properly on mobile platform so have to shift to desktop platform (separate issue but i think the sync is still broken - my friend has/had complained and still haven’t got clear resolution to her problem. Will post complaint number if possible).
Please make sure features are not platform specific and comes on both web/desktop and phone platform without much delay. It’s becoming like to fully utilize one feature on Dhan a trader or investor has to use two platforms.
Need this feature in Journal - XIRR for sold stocks in a given time period and XIRR for unrealised gains/loss in a given time period.
How to access it kindly share details setps?
