Can you explain what is that step by step guide please
Hi @Vaibhav_Lad
The updated TRIGGERS on Basket orders on mobile app is very helpful with 3 options to exit, i.e At certain underlying level, At defined loss or at defined profit.
But sadly these options are not available on DEXT. I donāt this will take much time/efforts to update on DEXT.
SECONDLY, the conditional alert lines are showing on underlying chart, which we can drag & drop to update but again Basket triggers lines are not showing on underlying chart.
Please update both functions.

Hey @anandakr1 ,
Auto Trigger Basket is built for traders who trade with a plan.
Set a trigger based on an index price or Basket P&L.

For example, trigger your NIFTY options basket when NIFTY reaches 23400, and exit at 23450 or a predefined P&L level.
Set it once, and let the basket trigger automatically.

Hey @NAYAK ,
The Set Trigger Exit feature for Baskets on DEXT is already on our roadmap, and weāre working on bringing this soon!
We have your feedback on adding Basket Trigger lines to charts. Thanks for the suggestion!
P&L Exit + Kill Switch is truly a lifesaver!
One small request: please make it Account-Level for intraday, instead of each position-wise.
Let us set our maximum loss for the day once, before trading, and keep it active across all trades for the day. We often take multiple trades and may forget or donāt have time during fast moves to activate the exit again. And one unplanned emotional trade wipes out several days of profits.
A once-per-day (Account Level) P&L exit with Kill Switch would keep us disciplined and protect our capital automatically.
Please make this already-great feature a real lifesaver! ![]()
And also please bring the long-requested Profit Protection feature too.
Thank you, Team Dhan!
I completely agree with @NAYAK
Could the Dhan team please consider adding an Account-Level Intraday P&L Exit with a Kill Switch instead of managing it position by position ?
When trading multiple setups, it is easy to forget to reactivate it manually. Having an automated, once-a-day account limit would greatly help us maintain discipline and prevent heavy capital losses caused by emotional trading.
Thanks for sharing the request. The current version of P&L Exit is is at the global level, but you are correct, traders need to apply & save it everyday. Feedback noted. We will try to incorporate it in our rodamap.
Meanwhile, you can use āTrade SOS : Alert on Heavy Lossesā feature from Traderās Control. You can set your exact amount of Loss, as & when this limit is reached you will get nudge on your Position & Order screen.
I think itās not everyday, but every time we take new positions. Thatās the main problem.
As we take many intraday trades, We may forget or donāt have time during volatility to activate the exit again & again for each new positions. For intraday traders and scalpers, leaving the charts during fast & volatile moves to manually reactivate this P&L exit for every single new position is a major risk & time consuming.
Please make it at least once daily and if possible trailing one. You May please take inspiration from Fyers āSmart Exitā, which handles this flawlessly.
Hi @NAYAK
I am not sure if I am getting you right, but once you set the P&L Exit, it is for the day. Even if you add more position or exit position. It remains the same.
Hi @Naman
let me rephrase it what is current behavior and what is expected
Current Behavior & Pain Points
- Per-Trade Reset: The automated PnL Exit function currently applies only to the active trade session. If a user manually exits or cancels a position early (e.g., cutting a wrong trade at a ā¹1,000 loss instead of the ā¹5,000 threshold), the PnL Exit configuration completely resets.
- Manual Re-entry Risk: For subsequent trades, the user must remember to re-configure the PnL Exit threshold. If they forget, the position runs without an automated safety net, creating severe risk exposure.
- No Positionless Setup: Users cannot pre-set global daily risk parameters before active positions are open.
Proposed Solutions & Expected Behavior
1. Persistent Daily/Intraday PnL Exit Rules
To eliminate manual friction and risk exposure, provide users with the following options:
- Perpetual Intraday Reset: A persistent configuration option for intraday trading that auto-renews daily until manually changed.
- Account/Day-Level Risk Cap: A universal daily setting that remains valid for the entire trading day across all consecutive trades.
- Positionless Configuration: Allow users to set or modify these global PnL thresholds at any time, even when they have zero active positions.
2. Trailing PnL Exit (Locking in Profits)
Introduce a trailing daily PnL logic to protect locked-in gains across multiple trades.
- Mechanism: If a user closes a profitable trade, they should be able to update their daily PnL floor to lock in a āminimum take-homeā profit.
- Example Scenario:
- Trade 1: User locks in a profit of +ā¹10,000.
- Adjustment: The user updates their daily PnL exit threshold from a loss scenario to a positive floor of +ā¹5,000.
- Trade 2: If the next trade experiences a drawdown that pulls the total daily PnL down to +ā¹5,000, the system automatically triggers a market exit to secure the remaining ā¹5,000 profit.
- Constraint: The trailing floor update should be capped dynamically up to the maximum realized profit amount for that specific day.

@Naman This fulfills the exact requirements shared by @Awnishsingh365
This is by far the best .
@Awnishsingh365 please share the broker name. Also is this providing Profit Protection or positive figures in stoploss field ?
Fyers Smart exit also meets the requirements.

First P&L exit pic from SAHI & 2nd one from Fyers.
Dhan is way ahead with itās DEXT Platform, but donāt know why lagging with this basic life saver feature for traders.Request you to bring Profit Protection (positive number in max loss field) with trailing P&L as early as possible.
Hi @PravinJ
Is there any plan to incorporate these above discussed features? Profit protection is must to lock some portion of running profit.
