Lots of notifications and spam even before doing a trade

I signed up on Dhan because of this message on front page:

However, as soon as I installed the app I got 10+ messages on first day about Crude margin, Silver price etc. Very disappointing but okay, so I went to settings and disabled the Breaking news.

However, these are a few of the notifications received AFTER that

And worse now email spam has started, with no Unsubscribe option.

So the only way if I want to not be spammed is to disable notifications in Android app altogether and to block your ‘noreply’ email id?

I totally understand what the original poster is going through. While all those extra features might seem like a way to improve things for new users, they actually just make it harder to place an order smoothly. When I’m in a rush to buy or sell, those warnings about negative returns and everything else keep popping up and getting in the way. I’m not sure if your team really sees the issue here. There are just too many hurdles before someone can even complete a buy or sell order, and it’s really frustrating.

Indian apps are spammy (all apps have notitifications disabled).

My disappointment is being promised specifically on home page Dhan don’t send spam and then such an insane amount of irrelevant spam non-stop.

You mean the ‘breaking news’ one I already disabled. Or did you mean some other setting?

Mine looks slightly different (Samsung S22 Ultra, Android 14, One UI 6.1) and doesn’t have Promotional?

Hi @Apple We stand true to what we have committed - we do not call you, or send you any SMS or give you any trading or investment advice nor share data directly or indirectly or spam you with cross selling of products.

The Silver & Crude notifications - yes that was a bit of experimentation got wrong because there we significant volumes that happened on the same day due to tariff change implications by Trump on the same day - we have discussed with team how we can make it better.

Most other notifications via Dhan are important market news… while we do have 500+ data points under the News section within 24 hours - we share possibly 3-5 news updates everyday, unless very important ones like Tariff implications that have happened recently. Once again - these are news to keep users updated, and in many interactions we have received great feedback for overall approach that Dhan has for News including one recently made available on ScanX.

All communication from Dhan are our own ways of educating users about the features and capabilities that platform has launched, and can be used in their trading and investing journey. If there is room to optimise - we definitely will.

@PravinJ About the email with no Unsubcribe or stop option in it (pics in OP) - can I at least write to support to stop any such mails?

Its almost as if opt-in (instead of flooding people with messages which will lead them to disable all or uninstall the app) is the optimum solution.
