MFs Bought and then pledged - Can buy the shares now?

@PravinJ & Team…

Say bought MFs of Rs 1Lac and then pledged on Dhan Platform… after that pledged for Margin and got say margin of 80k…

Now say trading stocks in intraday say 10k and wanted to convert it in delivery (may need additional 40k, being under 5x margin as intraday) by 1500hrs … so can used the margin of MFs 80k for that delivery positions ??

Pledged margins can’t be used for Delivery transactions.

Seemed like a good idea right, just keep rolling over margins and buying over and over again :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Happy to share that pledged margin can be used for Delivery transactions as well.

If bought in MTF order type (then forever), but since OP asked about Delivery (then not beyond T+5 days in Investing order type).

Correct me if I’m wrong or has this changed @Pranita ?

That is correct @thisisbanerjee . However, unlike most other brokers, we allow users to buy stocks using 100% collateral in Delivery albeit for 5 days.

Thanks for confirming the MFs bought and pleaded as margin, then its margin money can used to take share delivery… :pray:
