Missing details in Margin used

Hi @Dhan @PravinJ,

It looks like dhan team is focusing more on complex things and keeping the simple things aside completely.

The margin used has two fields - realised pnl & unrealised pnl but your team is saying it will display only future contracts result. What about the options pnl?

Due to this issue, I can’t reconcile my opening balance with the margin available. My realised pnl on option contracts will always be missing component and I can’t calculate manually this every day. When you are showing pnl for future contracts, why can’t you show the same for option contracts and make the reconciliation simple?

I have raised this issue multiple times but no positive result or any alternate solution from your team on this. The positive hope I had on dhan team is reducing day by day due to many open issues as of now.

Hi @PravinJ sir,

Got a call from your team today after one week and surprisingly, the reply is same even after one week. How can you miss such a fundamental thing? When realised pnl on options is being considered for margin calculation, why does the same is not being shown in margin used details?

The reply received from your team is that currently only futures pnl will be shown against the fields - realised & unrealised pnl and the feedback to show options pnl is noted. totally surprised.

Hi @sri1647

As discussed on the call, we’ve noted your suggestion to display realised and unrealised P&L for options as well. Currently, the margin details reflect only futures P&L, and your feedback has been shared with the relevant team for further consideration.

Hi siyanka,

This is not a feedback. It is the basic fundamental missed by dhan and I am asking to rectify it. Every issue can’t be a feedback and optimisation. What is the logic in showing only futures pnl? Moreover it is no where mentioned on margin page that is reflects only futures pnl. I had shared this 2 months ago as well and now also you are saying it is a feedback. Slowly the dhan team is destroying the plus factor i.e., healthy support experience @PravinJ .

Hey @sri1647 ,

Have you tried to use the net options premium received section? It should help you get clarity on your options positions.

Thanks,
Pranita

Hi Pranita, Thanks for your reply. But it won’t show my realised or unrealised pnl on my options positions - open & closed. My requirement is simple - when u r considering the same for calculating my margin available, why it is not being shown in the margin used section? and this is the basic fundamental for margin calculation.

For example, the loss will be treated as reduction of my margin and it should reflect in margin used section. How can @Dhan say that I will show only futures pnl but not options pnl? The basics are missing.
