Missing Feature: Separate Target Orders for Partial Quantities – Why Was It Removed?
I’m trying to understand why Dhan has removed a feature that was working perfectly until last week.
Previously, while managing an open position, I could place separate target orders for different quantities directly from the chart. This was extremely useful for scaling out of positions and managing risk effectively.
Now, Customer Support has informed me that this functionality is “not available.”
My questions to the Dhan Product Team are:
-
Why was this feature removed?
-
Was it an intentional product update or an unintended issue/bug?
-
Are there any plans to bring it back?
-
If it was intentionally removed, what was the reason behind the decision?
This feature is important for active traders who:
-
Book partial profits at multiple target levels.
-
Manage risk efficiently without manually placing orders.
-
Execute trades quickly during volatile market conditions.
Its absence has made trade management significantly less efficient.
I’d also like to know if other traders are facing the same issue.
-
Were you using this feature?
-
When did you notice it disappeared?
-
Has anyone received a different response from Dhan?
I request the Dhan Product Team to provide a transparent explanation and, if possible, restore this functionality.
Thank you.
