Dear team, based on the experience with basket buying option available, is it possible to provide basked trading option. Ex: I create a basket of shares and morning I sell the basket at cmp (if required to put limit order line item wise) and select whether intra day or delivery and buy back same basket at cmp or at limit order ?
Now when I sell number of stocks it becomes difficult to track which all I sold and which all I have to buy. Today if I sell the basket and tomorrow if I can buy back the basket, it would be easy to trade with the list of stocks I want to.
Either that basket can be fixed and if required we need to create a new basket or it can be editable at your developers convenience.
If such option is made available, it would make a big change.
The logic behind this is that if we have 10 or 15 stocks, daily earning will be there. which is near to the index movement. If we know the direction, we can sell the basket and buy back the basket. Average profit or loss can be earned. I am not sure how practical it is. Experts can throw your views or ideas.
We have a feature for this use case, available in Dhan Mobile App (for now, later will extend to other platforms as well). Simply go to Orders > Baskets > Click on the lightening icon. You will see few more CTAs appear. There is a button with B&S symbol. This will reverse all the Buy to Sell & Sell to buy in one click in your basket. You can execute this to exit your basket’s open position or simply save it to keep basket in reversed form. Screenshot for your reference.

Can this reverse or exit option be applied on the basket traded today to buy tomorrow? Or do we need to create two baskets with Same set of stocks , one for buy and other basket for sell?
If I sell a basket today and tomorrow if I need to buy same basket , I need to either create a new basket which is time consuming.
Further, is there a chance to increase basket size from 10 to 25 or 50?
Instead of selecting individual stocks to basket, is it possible to select by ticking multiple stocks and then give criteria same for all or similar options
No, exit orders do not require any margin. If it is a order for fresh position or there is already a pending order for exiting the position, then only the margin will be required.
Yes, definitely. The basket is just a tool to place the order, irrespective of the time & transaction of the position created.

The reverse basket option is in Super Trader mode (thunderbolt icon). This is available before the basket order is placed.
