Now Updated: All New Experience of Corporate Actions

Dear Investors,

At Dhan, we’re always listening to your feedback and working tirelessly to enhance your investing experience. As part of our commitment to delivering the best, we’re constantly building and shipping updates. Some of these updates may seem small, but they have a significant impact in helping you get a clearer understanding of how your investments and portfolio are performing.

As part of our continuous efforts, we’re excited to announce an update to a much-awaited feature: Corporate Actions. This update will provide you with a clearer and more detailed view of how corporate actions can impact your investments and portfolio, so you can stay on top of all the important events without missing a beat.

What Is Corporate Action?

Corporate Actions refer to events initiated by a company that bring changes to its stock or financial structure. These events can directly or indirectly impact shareholders and investors. Common corporate actions include dividends, rights issues, stock splits, mergers, and shareholder meetings like AGMs and EGMs. Understanding these corporate actions is crucial for making better decisions regarding your holdings. By staying updated on corporate actions, you can make informed decisions on whether to buy, hold, or sell certain stocks.

What’s New in Corporate Actions?

We’ve updated the Corporate Actions screen to give you a more streamlined and insightful experience. Here’s what you can expect from the new update:

  • Two Tab Selections: Upcoming & Today
We’ve split the view into two clear sections:

    • Upcoming: See upcoming corporate actions across all the stocks in the market, helping you prepare in advance.
    • Today: View current actions happening today so you can take prompt decisions if needed.
  • Filter for In-Portfolio Actions
To help you focus on the most relevant information, you can now filter by “In Portfolio” to only view corporate actions that affect the stocks you hold. This ensures you won’t miss any critical updates about your investments.

  • Sort by Type of Corporate Action
At the bottom of the screen, you’ll find an easy-to-use sort option. Now, you can choose to view specific types of corporate actions such as:

    • Dividends
    • Rights Issues
    • Bonus Shares
    • AGM / EGM Announcements
    • Stock Splits

This flexibility lets you customise your view based on what matters most to you.

In addition to seeing what most Corporate Actions are happening in the market - Dhan has also integrated for Stocks that matter for you. So now you can -

  • View Corporate Actions right in the Watchlists of the Stocks you Track
  • View Corporate Actions in your Portfolio for Stocks you Own

Both the above options are available for you in settings for Watchlist / Portfolio and you also have an ability to keep them on or off as per your choice.

How Will This Help You?

  • Clarity & Transparency: With clear categorizations and the ability to filter corporate actions affecting only your portfolio, you’ll get a better understanding of what’s relevant to you.
  • Faster Decision-Making: By viewing upcoming and current corporate actions in a single glance, you can plan your investment strategies or make quick moves when needed.
  • Personalised Experience: With sorting and filtering options, you can tailor the information to suit your investment style, whether you’re focused on dividends, bonus shares, or other corporate events.

We hope this updated Corporate Actions enhances your experience and helps you track your investments more efficiently.

Stay tuned for more updates and features coming soon to you from Dhan.

Thanks,
Mahima Shah
