Hello Everyone,
Sharing an important update that has impacted trade settlements. Due to a technical glitch at the National Securities Depository Ltd. (NSDL), settlement of equity trades executed on 3rd, 4th & 5th Feb 2026 has been delayed beyond regular timelines. As a result, you will see the following impacts:
- While you maybe able to see these shares in your portfolio, selling any BTST shares today for trades executed on 4th and 5th Feb 2026 may lead to an auction. We advice you to place these trade with caution.
- Shares purchased on 4th and 5th Feb may not be available for pledging
- Any off market transfers to Dhan may not reflect in your portfolio
- Withdrawals from any BTST trades will also be unavailable
This issue is at the depository level and is not related to your broker or trading platform. NSDL has acknowledged the disruption and is working on resolving this issue. We’re closely monitoring the situation and will keep you updated.
Thanks,
Pranita

@Pranita my query is that the Demat account with Dhan is with CDSL and not NSDL. Ideally, this technical glitch in NSDL shouldn’t affect Dhan users apart from point 3 correct.
I am unable to see my share in portfolio although I have bought it two weeks before

Hey @nitishbangera ,
This was an inter-depository issue. So although your demat account is with CDSL & NSDL, Dhan works with CDSL. And our settlements were impacted with NSDL. So all our users are impacted to the extend of the above mentioned points.
Thanks,
Pranita
@Pranita As I mentioned, the only point which will come in the inter-depository issue is Point 3 i.e. “Any off-market transfers to Dhan may not reflect in your portfolio“. I wanted to understand how the other mentioned points cause an impact as Dhan’s stocks are in CDSL.
