The National Stock Exchange of India Limited has announced trading session changes on January 15, 2026 due to Municipal Corporation Elections in Maharashtra.

The segment wise trading schedule is as follows.

Capital Market segment -
Trading will remain closed for the entire day.

Futures and Options segment -
Trading will remain closed for the entire day.

Commodity Derivatives segment -
Morning session will remain closed.
Evening session will be open from 17:00 hours to 23:55 hours.

Users are requested to take note of the above schedule while planning their trading activities for the day.

What can be abandoned at a moment’s notice never held true importance.

Sensex contract data is not updated properly in the system. some contracts showing 15th jan as expiry and some as 14th.
