A market cap war is happening between the world’s biggest companies. Recently, Nvidia has taken the lead, surpassing Microsoft as the second-largest company.
Nvidia has achieved a significant milestone by reaching a market cap of $3.2 trillion. This success is driven by a substantial increase in profits, from $4.3 billion in FY23 to $29.7 billion in FY24, and a surge in total revenue from $27 billion to $60.9 billion over the same period. In Q4 FY24 alone, Nvidia generated approximately $22.1 billion in revenue.
A notable shift in revenue share is evident in their product lines. Data Center Processors for Analytics and AI increased from 55.59% in FY23 to 78.01% in FY24, while segments like GPUs for Computers and Automotive saw declines. This strategic focus on AI and analytics has been central to Nvidia’s remarkable growth and market dominance.
