Option Buying and Stop-Loss

I’m confused about stop-loss orders. Since I can’t use SL-M for options, if I set a stop-loss limit and the price quickly crosses it, will the order execute or wait until the price hits that limit again to sell?

To ensure u r SL- Limit order is executed keep a wider gap between the trigger and limit price (within the allowed range ofcourse). If they are close by and there isn’t sufficient liquidity the order could be skipped. The price then has to come back to the limit price level for execution.
